After 24 years as a professional fire-fighter and senior fire officer, I came to Barfoot & Thompson in early 2014 ready to provide my own unique brand of service. I am committed to providing friendly yet professional advice to my clients and I am a real believer in the importance of effective communication and long-term relationship building.
In my previous career, people would rely on me in times of critical need to make the right calls calmly and professionally, and with empathy for those involved. In many ways I see the role of a professional salesperson in the real estate industry as very similar - it's just a different type of service that I am providing.
I was first attracted to the family owned Barfoot & Thompson organisation because of its well-known reputation for ethical and professional service. This was hugely important to me, having come from a long career as an officer/manager within an organisation that regularly surveys at No1 for trust and confidence by Kiwis. In all aspects of my business partnerships I stand by my core values of integrity, diligence and empathy. These values are my strongest drivers. My belief is that real estate is actually about people, rather than property, and I love meeting and working with people to understand what is important to them and how I can assist them.

I live in Hobsonville Point with my wife and two teenaged children, with both children attending local schools. I believe that well supported schools are critical to the health and wellbeing of a community and have been privileged to serve as a Trustee on the School Board at Marina View School in West Harbour since 2014. I have lived in various parts of West Auckland almost all of my life and readily identify with the lifestyle opportunities provided in this 'corner of our city'. I love sports and the outdoors, with particular interests in karate, boating, fishing and scuba diving. I like nothing more than enjoying a BBQ and a few social drinks with my family and friends.
