Introduction

From the moment I started even considering a career in real estate, I was crystal clear about how I wanted to project myself and how I wanted to be known by my customers, clients, and the wider community. There is no fake ‘business persona’ with me. The person you meet professionally will be the same as the person you might meet casually in a social setting.

Clients convey that they find me to be a genuinely friendly, approachable, and empathetic person, with natural listening and interpersonal skills. The professional relationship you enter into with your real estate agent is extremely important, and must be based on a foundation of complete trust and open communication. I regard it as a privilege every time a client entrusts me to represent them in the sale of their home.

I realise what a huge decision this is, and aim to repay the faith shown in me with exceptional service and results. I challenge myself to exceed my client’s expectations every time I am helping someone either buy or sell a home.

My Background

After 24 years as a Professional Fire-Fighter and Senior Fire Officer, I came to Barfoot & Thompson ready to provide my own unique brand of service to the people of my local communities. I am committed to providing friendly, professional advice and service to my clients, and I am a real believer in the importance of effective communication and long term relationship building.

In my previous career, people would rely on me in times of critical need to make the right calls calmly, professionally, and with empathy for those involved. In many ways I see the role of a professional sales person in the real estate industry as very similar – it’s just a different type of service that I am providing.

I was first attracted to Barfoot & Thompson because of their well-known reputation for ethical and professional service. This was hugely important to me, having come from a long career as an Officer/Manager in an organisation that regularly surveys at #1 for trust & confidence by Kiwis. I stand by my core values of integrity, diligence, professionalism, and empathy. These values are my strongest drivers, and are clearly reflected in the testimonials that my past clients have been kind enough to offer. I believe that real estate is about people, and I love meeting and working with people to hear what is important to them.

Supporting the community

I have lived in West Harbour & Hobsonville with my wife and two children for the past 12 years.

Both children attend our local schools. I have lived in various parts of West Auckland almost all of my life and readily identify with the lifestyle opportunities provided in this ‘corner of our city’.

I believe that a community can only be a happy and vibrant place for families to thrive within if we all do our part. I am an avid supporter of my local school and demonstrate this in a range of ways – from sitting on the Board of Trustees, through to supervising the school pedestrian crossing in the mornings, and helping/sponsoring the PTA at fundraising events.

I love my community, and feel a real sense of pride and gratitude to be able to raise my children in such a healthy environment.

Goals in real estate

My main goal in real estate is to continue to build on the trusted reputation that I have worked so hard to establish, through a total commitment to excellence, and a focus on putting the needs of my clients first.

A significant proportion of my new clientele already come to me via referral and recommendations from previous clients. I truly believe that if I always deliver an experience that exceeds expectations, my business will grow organically via an expanding referral network.

Apart from this main focus, I just want to continue to enjoy what I am doing, whilst working with people to help them through a major phase of change in their lives.

Personal interests

I love sports and the outdoors, with particular interests in karate, boating, fishing, scuba diving & golf. I am very sociable and like nothing more than to enjoy a BBQ with the company of my family and friends. I would love to meet you to discuss your wishes and plans.
